If you or your loved one have trouble staying steady on your feet, using wheel chairs around the home is a great way to minimize your risk of falls. You’ll have to make a few adaptations, such as using a grabber stick to reach items on shelves, and perhaps installing drop-down cabinets to make working in the kitchen and bathroom simpler. If your home has two floors or stairs leading to the front door, you’ll also want to look into installing a wheel chair lift to allow you to get up and down the stairs.
